“Steadier Than Ever” A Mural Jam
Behind the Scenes of “Steadier Than Ever”, A Mural Jam in Fernley, NV.
Earlier this year, I was graciously invited to paint at The Fernley Mural Festival for a second time and was more stoked that a Local Print Shop, All In Grapix, had picked this concept to be painted on their building. This Concept called “Steadier Than Ever” (Inspired by the song “Cream of the Crop by Dance Gavin Dance) has been one of my top favorites that I was searching to find a home for. The Colors were begging to be thrown onto a wall and I had finally found a unique place to make it happen!
Although the concept was already fully rendered, I had to morph it to fit onto this unique building shape. It had Eastern Influence with its pillars and spires, while on the Main Side I was planning on painting was Corrugated. So Magpie and I took a day to drive out to Fernley, NV, Sit in her favorite Patch of Grass, and Sketch out a Plan.
Prep Work, Lining out my MTN 94 Colors.
Enjoying the Process can be hard when you’re on a time limit, but the Constant passing of the Graff on the Trains, and the Bright Sunsets reminded me to chill the hell out and just paint.

Before and After…
Final Piece, “Steadier Than Ever” A Floral Freestyle. I learned a lot during this painting, I always do, but this one in particular really helped me just flow and freestyle. It helped add more character and life to the piece without thinking too hard about the process.
A HUGE Thank You to ACES Fernley for Inviting me to come paint! Also Thank you to All In Graphix for lending me their wall to get weird on and being amazing hosts while I painted! To See More Photos and Video Edits of this project, Follow Me on Instagram or Facebook @DoomedMovement
