“A Doomed Movement”

Skateboards. Useless wooden toys. Pure joy and naivety. A vessel to places untraveled and memories waiting to be remembered. Skateboarding has taught me everything I need to know about life. Live for the moment, have fun, travel often, and work fucking hard. To fall 100 times over, or roll your ankle repetitively, getting back up and trying again to some is insanity but for the ones who are hopelessly in love with it like me, it’s the shit I live for.

What’s this got to do with anything? Well without my skateboard I would have never fallen in love with street art and graffiti in the first place. From Tokyo, Japan to Barcelona, Spain, the itch to paint was diagnosed within my brain. I’ve been drawing my whole life, and the smell of spray paint has always made me tweak out like Hammy the squirrel from “Over The Hedge”. I’m addicted to that shit too.
Fast forward some years and somehow, miraculously, people enjoy the things I create. Enough to commission me, or just let me draw or paint what my heart desires. Which is either weird characters or trippy floral freestyles. Both of which are inspired from my love for cartoons or my love of flowers and the natural world around me. Cartoons I got from my Dad, staying up late watching “Gargoyles” and “Scooby Doo” together had more impact than I would know. And my great grandma “Ma” would later teach me how to garden and care for the flowers in her yard. Since she passed my drive and ambition to fulfill her dreams has led me to where I am now. She was someone who believed and trusted in not only my responsibility, but also my character, for that I am forever grateful and strive to make her proud.

Long story short, where I’ve been is what’s made me who I am. Through The Loss, The Gains, The Highs and The Lows, I am blessed to be able to create and grateful for the opportunities and support that all of you give to me. My promise to you is to always move forward, to always be better than the day before, and to love what I am creating, I owe that to the world for all that it has given me. This is the start of a new journey for me, and for those that have been there through The Ascension Clothing Co., through Skateboarding, or the few who have been through it All, till the day I can’t no more I promise to give it all I got. This is The Doomed Movement.
